The Workshop
Furniture should be honest and useful, structure and fixing clearly visible. A combination of simple construction through careful consideration and material choice, results in apparently simple and clear form.
The complexity is in the methods of achieving both a useful and resilient product through straightforward assembly. The beauty is in not misdirecting, or concealing the nature of construction or material.
Featured Project
Handmade curved and bevelled Iroko frame with brass splines.
This was a personal project to frame a gift from my partner.
A learning curve or four, small is not necessarily easier, but a pleasure nonetheless.
